Every year, on March 8th we celebrate International Women’s day with respect and acknowledge to the women that serve, solve, and women who lead. Including women empowerment , the actions within the last year have given us many topics to discuss. Ranging from Donald Trump’s bragging about predatory sexual behavior and sexual harassment comments to women earning 24 percent less than men. It’s important to celebrate Women’s month due to the history of women leaders that often goes dark in history. Women are often overlooked for accomplishments compared to men, although today we have earned most rights we still have a long way to go. For example, We all know Neil Armstrong became the first man to step on the moon, but what about the first women? Sally Ride became the first American woman in space as she flew in the Challenger space shuttle in 1983. Creating history for women astronauts.
